Getting started with PulseSignal

Everything between creating an account and reading your first daily digest: signup and email verification, choosing a plan, how the 14-day trial works, adding companies to your watchlist, and where alerts show up. Ten minutes end to end.

01

Create your account

Sign up at /signup with your work email and a password, or use Sign in with Google. If you sign up with email, we send a 6-digit verification code to your inbox. Enter the code on the verification screen to confirm you own the address; if it does not arrive within a minute or two, check spam and use the resend option on that screen.

If a teammate invited you, follow the link in the invitation email instead. You create your own account the same way, and you land directly in your team’s workspace with no separate payment step. See team and seats for how invitations work.

02

Choose a plan

PulseSignal has four paid plans: Starter, Pro, Business, and Scale. They differ mainly in how many companies you can track, how many teammates you can invite, how far the signal history reaches, and which delivery and export options are included. The full comparison is on the pricing page.

Plans default to annual billing, which works out to a 17% discount over paying monthly. You can switch to monthly with the toggle during checkout. Either way, every plan starts with the same 14-day free trial.

03

The 14-day trial

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial of the full product. We collect a card at signup but do not charge it during the trial. The first charge lands on day 15. Cancel any time before then from Settings → Billing and nothing is ever charged. The billing page shows how many trial days you have left and the exact date of the first charge.

If you are charged and change your mind, you can still get a full refund within 7 days of that first charge, no questions asked. Details are in the billing FAQ and the refund policy.

04

Build your watchlist

The watchlist is the set of companies PulseSignal actively monitors for you. Open Watchlist in the dashboard, type a company name or domain, and pick it from the list. The workspace watchlist is shared with every seat on your plan; the personal section is yours only.

Newly added companies start appearing in your signal pages on the next 24-hour refresh cycle. If a company is not in our index yet, use the search bar in the dashboard topbar to request it by URL.

05

Watchlist caps by plan

Each plan caps how many companies you can track at once. Removing a company frees the slot immediately.

PlanCompanies tracked
Starter20
Pro60
Business200
Scale500

If you hit the cap, either remove a company you no longer need or upgrade from Settings → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately.

06

Your first daily digest

Every company on your watchlist is re-checked on a 24-hour cadence across all signal modules: pricing, leadership, hiring, API and integrations, product launches, customer logos, customer sentiment, tech stack, positioning, and funding. Detected changes are recorded as events, each with a severity level and the source URL it was derived from.

The daily digest is one email that collects the events which passed your severity floor and event-type filter since the last digest. You control the cadence (off, daily, weekly, or realtime), the severity floor, and the event filter from Settings → Digest preferences, which also offers an RSS feed. More detail is in alerts and digests.

07

Where alerts live

The Alerts page in the dashboard is where you set per-event-type subscriptions and review what has fired. Critical events are dispatched as same-day alerts on every plan, in addition to appearing in the digest.

On Pro and above, alerts can also be delivered to Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Telegram, and you can define custom alert rules and webhooks. Connect channels from Settings → Integrations.
